Bushfire threatens Perth Airport
A bushfire is burning out of control near Perth Airport, threatening lives and homes.
A watch and act alert has been issued for people in the eastern part of Cloverdale and northern part of Kewdale near the Perth Airport.
The Fire and Emergency Services Authority (FESA) says there is a possible threat to lives and homes because weather conditions are changing.
Residents have been warned to leave or get ready to actively defend their homes because the blaze is out of control and unpredictable.
FESA says the bushfire is moving fast in a southerly direction towards Tonkin Highway.
The fire was reported at 12.23pm (WST) on Wednesday.
